MEET THE TEAM
Meet the people behind The Centerstage Project! We are a team of high school seniors who are passionate about making arts education accessible to all.
Amari Johnson
Amari Johnson is an Atlanta native who is involved in theatre and her school’s acapella group at Riverwood High School. She started theatre in the 5th grade with the Atlanta Children’s Theatre Company. Since then, she has done numerous plays and musicals, including Shrek Jr., Wiley and the Hairy Man, and Little Shop of Horrors. During July 2023, she was a “collisioner” in the Palefsky Collision Project in connection with Alliance Theatre. In her senior year, she was cast as Dorothy for her school’s production of The Wiz, a retelling of L. Frank Baum’s "The Wizard of Oz.” She is incredibly grateful for all the lessons she’s learned, and the many friendships she’s formed from being involved in theatre.
